Trees

An issue with a tree on or near a public road or verge.

Grass

An issue with grass verges alongside public roads (not recreational areas).

We only cut grass in Elmbridge, Mole Valley and Tandridge. 

Hedges

An issue with a hedge on, or affecting, a public road.

Roots

An issue with tree roots causing a trip hazard on the pavement.

Weeds

Confirmed identification of injurious weeds, or weeds that are non-native to the UK are subject to strict controls. These weeds include Japanese knotweed, Ragwort and Giant hogweed. Together with district and borough councils, we maintain a list of known sites, which are treated each year.

We will assess new areas of noxious weeds which are reported to us and carry out a risk assessment to check which sites require treatment. It is not illegal to allow the weeds to grow, only to permit them to spread to neighbouring land.
